Moulin Scrooge

Band of Toughs is excited to be collaborating with The Catamounts to bring back our 2012 holiday favorite, Moulin Scrooge.  Looking for a little more salt and spice in your holiday theatre?  This ludicrous and saucy musical, created by Peter Gwinn of The Colbert Report and Baby Wants Candy, combines the 2001 hit Moulin Rouge and the Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol.  What do you get when Ebenezer’s classic story collides with a Parisian cabaret? A highly irreverent send-up, hilarious enough to cheer up even the Bahhumbug-iest of holiday grumps. Start a new tradition of a deliriously fun grown-ups’ night out with this equal opportunity offender of a holiday romp.   Most of the cast of the 2012 production is back this year, with a few delightful new faces!

Moulin Scrooge plays at Denver’s The Bug Theatre on Fridays and Saturdays from December 5th through December 20th, with community meals on Saturdays.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

What do you get when you throw down with Titania and Oberon in the great outdoors of Colorado?  A fierce and fiery, sexy and fun, lovers’ adventure!  Shakespeare’s classic summer comedy, set in the most brilliant of locations, with a group of no-holds-barred Bard-wielding trouble makers!  Beware of stray love-evoking potions and invisible voices in the trees.

The Thugs by Adam Bock

The Obie-award winning dark comedy in which mysterious dangers surround a group of temps in a large corporate law firm. The New York Times calls it “a delightfully paranoid little nightmare that is both more chillingly realistic and pointedly absurd than anything John Grisham ever dreamed up.” This production supported in part by a grant from the Boulder Arts Commission.

Moulin Scrooge

Band of Toughs and WreckingBall Theater Lab co-produce Moulin Scrooge, an irreverent holiday musical created by Peter Gwinn of The Colbert Report and Baby Wants Candy.

Leave the kids at home for this gut-splitting send-up combining the 2001 hit Moulin Rouge and the Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol.
